Bibliometrics as Art

An example of one of the pieces of work that I do mapping the connections between academic articles, using the VosViewer software. This is an example of a test data set implementing some of the concepts of "squirrel cries" in my industry, the kind of warning signs that experts know about but rarely put into concrete actions for people outside of close circles.

As much fun as these are for selling my services: I think the data access, curation and systems to capture it are more interesting.

This specific map is a collection of incoming citations to an existing corpus of ~100 examples of abortion misinformation in PubMed, searched against for the word "Abortion" and mapped as they cite each other. The citation metadata comes from OpenAlex.
